The Battle of Two Crowns

Yesterday I shared, we are in a spiritual battle between two kingdoms. Today, we’re going to show what the kingdoms are and how it relates to the coronavirus pandemic we’re currently experiencing. First, lets explore what the word corona means. In Latin it means crown, signifying kingdoms and authority. The word crown (corona) is used 77 times in the bible, showing us corona (a crown) has legal authority. Rev. 13:1, “And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on each horn.” As you can see this evil kingdom (coronavirus) has a crown of authority and it’s relevant to all of us today. However, in Rev. 19:12, we see a different crown, this time on the head of Christ, “His eyes are like blazing fire and on His head are many crowns.” Thus the two kingdoms, one is evil with a demon spirit causing chaos and panic and the other, the King of Kings brings healing and authority.

This evil kingdom has a demonic leader his name is Pan with his headquarters in the Gates of Hell (Matt. 16:18). The scripture tells us Jesus is asking His disciples, “Who do people say I am?” Peter responded, “Christ, the Son of the Living God.” Christ responded, “on these words I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” As Jesus was saying this, He was literally standing in front of a cave that was know as the gates of hell. It was the place where the pagan god Pan dwelt and sacrifices were made and worship given. According to Greek legend, Pan would come out of this cave and ROAR causing great confusion with fear and panic. People would run for their lives hiding away from a demon beast that could tear them apart if it got ahold of them. The Panic we feel today, as we’re running for our lives, literally comes from this demon, Pan. The chaotic loud roar of Pan is causing the pandemic America is feeling today. The question we all have is, “what should we do about this thing, how should we act?”

Our response should show what our King Jesus has said to us in Rev. 3:11, “I am coming soon. Hold fast to what you have, so that no one will seize your crown.” This crown that our King gave us is significant, as James 1:12 shares, “Blessed is the one who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him.” We can wear this Crown, here and now to enjoy life more abundantly and with greater fullness. So today, I summon all Gods people, without fear and in full FAITH and humility, to respond to 2 Chron. 7:14, “If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Question: Are you suffering from panic and fear as more pandemic bad news comes from all the media? Wishing it would stop and not knowing what to do next?

Key Thought: The battle we’ve faced since the beginning of time is one of good and evil. This battle, is a battle of kingdoms and each of them want to rule your soul. Today, chose to put on the crown of life and take your authority as you bind up the pandemic coronavirus spirit of Pan and loose Gods Holy Spirit of healing and deliverance over our land (Matt. 18:18-20). We need the unity and agreement of the Body of Christ.
